The Role
We are looking to hire a Buying Assistant to work within our UK team. An ideal first step for those wanting to have a career within buying, although this is mainly an administrative role to begin with but room to progress for the right individual.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Product Set up- Setting up new product codes and creating precise product specifications on our internal systems.
- Raising artwork / design briefs for our inhouse studio based on customer requirements and checking accuracy of output.
- Buying Administration- Supporting the senior buyers with day-to-day admin such as purchase orders, carton markings and chasing in samples.
- Critical Path Management- Involving the lifecycle of a product from initial concept/brief through to delivery ensuring customer dates are met.
- Supplier Relationships- Maintain relationships through daily liaison with Far East suppliers.
- Sample Management- Ensuring red and gold seal samples are recorded internally and adhere to the approval process.
- Liaise with QC to ensure products are processed and fit for use.
- Arrange hi-resolution images with the photographer.
